The mother, an unnamed 15 year-old girl, had buried her child alive and is now facing charges of attempted murder and child abandonment. Scared her parents would find out about her pregnancy, the teenager said she acted recklessly.

Police spokesman, Lieutenant Colonel Panuwat Puttakam, of Cham Phuang police, said that the police had the duty to charge the teenager with attempted murder. They preferred not to, but that was the law. The girl will continue to be questioned with a child welfare worker present.

He continued, “The girl is now in the care of a psychologist and her parents because she is in great fear. She regrets what she did and said she acted on impulse without thinking it through. She feared her parents would find out she had been pregnant.”

After hearing the news, the girl’s family has agreed to take care of the healthy baby boy. The infant is so young, he has not even been named yet. And being so young, he will recover quickly.

Usa says, despite only having the use of three of his legs, he still helps attend to the cattle in the field. He has been described as “the best dog ever”.

Since the wonderful rescue, Ping Pong was filmed enjoying the love and admiration of his local community. Locals agree, “He’s loved by the entire village. It’s amazing he found the baby.”
