This year’s NCAA Final Four was concluded last April, and we all know that Virginia Cavaliers won the national title. They battled it out in a real nail-biter with Texas Tech Red Raiders in a tight game that went to overtime. In the end, Virginia Cavaliers rallied and won the title after regulation by only eight points. The game was that close. Interestingly enough, during the short skit, the game was tight too.
It was also almost won by Virginia and Texas Tech. The prediction was so close that they needed to check the slow-motion replay. Basically, what Jimmy Fallon and his team did is to first, create this small maze. On one end, are the puppies, and on the other a bowl of kibble. The prediction is pretty simple, the first puppy who gets to eat the dog food will be the prediction of the show.
All of the teams in the Final Four were represented by four puppies for each team, and they were wearing doggie shirts with the teams’ logos to identify which team they represent. So, obviously, they had four puppies for Virginia, four for Texas Tech, the same amount of puppies for Michigan State, and four for Auburn. Jimmy showed the audience the puppies that were involved, and they were all too cute.
Once given the signal, the puppies were released and off they went! The maze was pretty small, so it didn’t take long for any of the puppies to reach the kibble at the other end. Surprisingly, they all went running for it when they were released. Perhaps they had a glimpse from where they were before the prediction game started.
When the puppies were released, they were quick to find their way towards the bowl of dog food. A Virginia and a Texas Tech puppy were neck and neck towards the finish line, or bowl. They had to check the video replay to declare the winner, and yep, you’ve guessed it. It’s Virginia. But the real winners here are the cute pups as they get to share the nice bowl of kibble.
